In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Connexus developed an operational guide and tracking procedures for a $558,000 guarantee fund for loans made to agricultural enterprises for DFID’s (UK Department for International Development) ÉLAN RDC project. Connexus assisted with finalizing the terms of the guarantee fund and designed the procedures and processes for effective operation and management of the fund. Connexus also created tracking templates for monitoring and evaluating partner financial institutions in their use of guarantee funds in lending to the target sectors. To ensure proper application of the templates, Connexus conducted an online training session for project staff and explained how each transaction would be logged.
