Social Performance Management Standards

Connexus worked with the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) to define the Universal Standards for Performance Management, a set of standards to help financial service providers achieve their social goals. The purpose of the standards is to establish clear expectations for social performance and reporting to be used by microfinance institutions, investors, donors, and social raters/auditors. Connexus facilitated two working groups to establish benchmarks and guidelines related to (a) governance and employee commitment to social goals and (b) products and services that meet client needs. Further, to support the continued dissemination of Social Performance Management (SPM) best practices, Connexus designed a course manual for the SPTF’s online training course, a cost-effective means for delivering SPM training to global citizens.
